Roll out of Villé and follow the Giessen river before the first castle of the day, Château du Birkenfels, appears. The route then traces L'Ehn and climbs past Château du Haut-Village on its way into the Ballons des Vosges nature reserve. With 1969 m of elevation gain across 97.8 km, the castles keep coming, including Reichenberg, before La Lièpvrette leads you back to Villé.
