The ride

This 81.7 km loop sets off from Carennac and rolls through the Causses du Quercy nature reserve before the Château de Thégra comes into view. Then it follows La Dordogne, passes the Château de Mayrac and crosses the Maumont and the Sourdoire. Castles keep appearing along the way, with Plas and Saint-Hilaire rounding things out before the road brings you back to Carennac.
