Roll out of Wettringen and let the route unfold: first the woods of Naturpark Frankenhöhe, then castle after castle — Schloss Burleswagen, Wasserschloss Erkenbrechtshausen, Burg Lobenhausen and Burg Werdeck. Between them the Jagsttal nature reserve and the quiet Streitwald forest keep the kilometres turning, with the Schafhutungen um Kirnberg heathland near the end. Of the 82.6 km, nearly all is paved, so the wheels keep humming back to Wettringen.
