The ride

Roll out of Fresnes-sur-Escaut and let the ride unfold: first along the L'Hogneau river, then into the Scarpe-Escaut regional nature reserve. Onward through the Avesnois regional nature reserve before the trees of the Raismes-Saint-Amand-Wallers forest take over. Of the 61.5 km, most run unpaved, with 325 m of climbing along the way, and the loop brings you back to where you started.
