The ride

From Vernantes, this 75.1 km loop rolls out past the Loire-Anjou-Touraine nature reserve before meeting the Loire river and later the Thouet. The route stays entirely on paved surface as it winds through the reserve at Joreau, then returns you to where you started. It's a lively day of riverbanks and green spaces, all beginning and ending in the same village.
