The ride

Roll out of Banyeres del Penedès and let the road carry you past the castle of Castel de Banyeres before the route drops toward the Riu Gaià river. From there the climbing adds up to 1073 m over 77.0 km, all of it on paved surface. Later you pass the castle of Castell de Gimenelles, then swing back to where you started. A loop that keeps unfolding, castle to river to castle.
