Roll out of O Castro de Caldelas and let the ride unfold: past the castle Castelo dos Condes de Lemos, then into the Ribeira Sacra e Serras do Oribio e Courel nature reserve. Onward through the Macizo Central nature reserve and along the Río Navea, with the Bidueiral de Montederramo nature reserve rounding things off before the loop brings you home. Of the 59.4 km, just over half runs unpaved, and 1270 m of climbing keeps the legs honest.
