From Populonia Stazione the road rolls out to the Fiume Cornia, then on through the Parco Interprovinciale di Montioni nature reserve and the Riserva Naturale Statale Marsiliana. Past Palazzo Guelfi manor the route continues to the Padule Orti-Bottagone reserve before turning back to the start. All 72.1 km are paved, with 266 m of climbing along the way.
