Climbs through the Morvan to Préporché

The ride

From Saint-Honoré-les-Bains the route rolls out past La Roche, the river that sets the tone early. Then it climbs into the Parc naturel régional du Morvan, a nature reserve where the metres add up to 1230 m of elevation gain. With 78% unpaved, most of the riding happens off the pavement, so the surface keeps changing underfoot. Back to the start village it returns, the loop closing where it began.
