Roll out of Tarascon-sur-Ariège and follow the Ariège river before the route climbs into the Parc naturel régional des Pyrénées ariégeoises. Past the castle of Foix, the road keeps unfolding along the Arget and the Courbière rivers. It adds up to 76.8 km with 2002 m of climbing, all on paved surface. The ride then brings you back to where you started.
