The ride

From Mazères you roll out on paved roads for a loop of 74.9 km, with the Grand Hers river soon alongside. Castles mark the way: Marquein, then the keep at Salles-sur-l'Hers, before the Jammas and the Château de Mézerville. The Vixiège and the Ariège rivers follow, and the Château de Calmont rounds off the ride before you return to Mazères.
