The ride
This 70.6 km loop sets off from Lekeitio and heads inland past three manors — Abaroa, Uriarte and Turpin dorre — before the route meets the Lea and Artibai rivers. From there it rolls on through the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve and by the Castillo de Arteaga, then turns for home. Every metre is paved, and the climbing adds up to 1794 m along the way.
