Castles between Rians and Vauvenargues

The ride

Roll out of Puyloubier and the castles start early: first Château de Saint-Antonin, then Bastide la Torse, before the route follows La Torse river onward to Château de Vauvenargues. Two canals keep you company after that — the Ancien Canal du Verdon and the Canal de Provence — and the whole 80.2 km loop is paved from start to finish. With 1260 m of climbing spread across the day, the castles and canals come as welcome markers along the way. Then it's back to Puyloubier to close the loop.
