Roll out of Nérac and the castles come thick and fast: Château de Bournac, then Château de Lagrange-Monrepos, before the route follows La Baïse and the Canal Latéral à la Garonne. Swing past the Domaine agroécologique de Barolle nature reserve and Château de Montluc, with L'Auvignon alongside. Of the 76.6 km, 97% is paved, and 618 m of climbing keeps the legs honest.
