Roll out of La Ferté-Alais and follow the river at L'École before the towers of Château de la Bonde and Château de Milly-la-Forêt slide past. The route then dips into the Parc naturel régional du Gâtinais français, with the Palais de Justice and Château de Morigny further along. The Réserve naturelle des sites géologiques de l'Essonne and the Sablière de Villemartin round things off before the pedals bring you home. All 83.7 km are paved, so the day is about the places, not the surface.
