From La Pommeraye you roll out and follow the water: first the Bras de Loire, then the Loire itself, before the Louet and the Layon join the story. Two castles break up the ride, the Château de la Jumellière and later the Château du Bas-Plessis. The 94.6 km loop is fully paved, and with 654 m of climbing it keeps the legs interested. Then it's back to where you started.
