Castles between Isserstedter Holz and Windknollen

The ride

Roll out from Parkeerplaats Isserstedter Holz and straight into the Isserstedter Holz nature reserve, then on through the Schötener Grund. Four castles follow in turn: Ordensburg Liebstedt, Burg Denstedt, Schloss Kromsdorf and Burg Tannroda. The 83.8 km loop climbs 1034 m, almost all on paved surface, before the Großschwabhäuser Hain and Windknollen nature reserves lead you back to the start.
