Roll out from Parkeerplaats Biotopo Fontanazzo and the ride soon finds its rhythm. You pass the nature reserve at Ponte Casoni, then climb toward Castel Ivano, a castle that anchors the middle of the route. Further on come the manor of Villa Daziaro and the fort at Tagliata delle Fontanelle, before the road settles back among the springs of Resenzuola and the reserve at Fontanazzo. Sixty-six kilometres, all paved, with 1458 m of climbing to keep the legs honest.
