Roll out of Dole and follow the Doubs river before a castle comes into view. The route then traces the Ognon and passes the Château de Montrambert, slips through the Bois de la Rème forest, and meets the Château de Rans. On through the Forêt de Chaux and past the Château d'Eclans, 74.9 km of mostly paved riding with 622 m of climbing brings you back to Dole.
