Roll out of Saint-Just-le-Martel and let the ride unfold along the water: first the river Le Tard, then La Vienne, La Maulde and La Combade, each one ticking past in turn. The route covers 70.4 km and climbs 1005 m, with the surface almost entirely paved and just a sliver unpaved. Somewhere along the way you pass the Château d'Eyjeaux, a castle that marks the middle stretch nicely. Then it's back to where you started, with four rivers and a castle behind you.
