Roll out of Albi and the ride opens at the Cité épiscopale, a nature reserve right at the edge of town. Next you pass the Palais de la Berbie, a castle that watches over the route before you follow La Vère, a river, out into the countryside. The loop then picks up Le Tarn, another river, and brings you back to Albi after 59.9 km of riding, with a little over a third of it unpaved.
