Waterside between La Turdine and L'Azergues

The ride

From Savigny the road rolls out past the river La Turdine, then follows the Soanan and the Azergues. Three castles line the way — Marzé, the Maison forte de l'Izérable and Janzé — before the Brévenne and the Château de Sain-Bel turn you for home. It's 91.3 km with 1630 m of climbing, and the surface is almost entirely paved. Back in Savigny before you know it.
