From Rânes you roll out past the castle and pick up the La Gourbe river, with 58.7 km of riding ahead. The Chêne Hippolyte viewpoint comes next, then the La Maure, before the route crosses the Normandie-Maine nature reserve. The La Rouvre river escorts you onward, and the mix of paved and unpaved tracks keeps the legs guessing all the way back to Rânes.
