Roll out of Tholen and past the castle Vesting Tholen before the Oosterschelde nature reserve opens up ahead. The route then skirts the Zoommeer and follows the Schelde-Rijnkanaal canal toward the Markiezaat nature reserve. With 46.8 km ahead and just 73 m of climbing, it stays gentle the whole way. One last stop at Fort De Roovere, then back to Tholen.
