Roll out of Hildburghausen and let the ride unfold through the UNESCO-Biosphärenreservat Thüringer Wald, on past the Wurzelbergfarmde and Löschleite nature reserves. The Görsdorfer Heide follows, then a castle at Eisfelder Schloss and another at Schloß Weitersroda, before the road bends back to where you started. It's 82.0 km with 1474 m of climbing, and the surface is almost entirely paved. A loop that keeps handing you one green stretch after another.
