Rondje Citadelle de Verdun en La Meuse

The ride

Roll out of Verdun and follow La Meuse before climbing to the Citadelle de Verdun. From there the route runs along the Saint-Vanne canal and out past the forts of La Chaume and Les Sartelles. The rivers La Vadelaincourt and La Cousances carry you onward, with the Ouvrage de Charny fort before the road turns home. Of the 78.6 km, most is paved, with a small unpaved share and 802 m of climbing along the way.
