The ride

Roll out of Issoudun and let the route unfold along the water: first the Théols, then the Théols again, and on to the L'Arnon. Midway you pass the Château de Saragosse, a castle that anchors the loop, before the Cher joins the story on the way back. It's 69.3 km with 254 m of climbing, and the surface is almost all paved. Back to where you started, with rivers and a castle behind you.
