Roll out of Neuhaus-Schierschnitz and past Burg Neuhaus, a castle, before the route settles into the Tschirner und Nordhalbener Ködeltal mit Mäusbeutel nature reserve. The Naturpark Thüringer Wald and the Tettautal keep the climbing honest, with 1295 m of elevation gain over 82.4 km. A final stretch through the Föritzgrund nature reserve brings you back to where you started.
