The ride

Roll out of Witry-lès-Reims and the tarmac soon gives way: of the 61.5 km, most of the riding happens on unpaved surface. The route heads out past the river La Suippe, then follows on to the river La Retourne. With 233 m of elevation gain spread along the way, the pedals keep turning at an easy rhythm. Then it's back to where you started, in Witry-lès-Reims.
