Hilly ride between Hoyorredondo and El Barco de Ávila

The ride

Roll out of Piedrahíta and the road soon points upward, on a route that stays paved the whole way. First comes the Parque Regional de la Sierra de Gredos, a nature reserve where the climbing adds up. Next you cross the Río Tormes, a river that marks the middle of the loop. Then it's on past the Castillo de Valdecorneja, a castle on the way back, before the road returns you to Piedrahíta.
