Ride there from home: we find the shortest way to the loop and start the loop from there.

The ride

Roll out of Covarrubias and the castle of Torreón de Fernán González sets the tone before the road opens into the Sabinares de Arlanza-La Yecla nature reserve. Three rivers keep you company along the way — the Arlanza, the Ciruelos and the Mataviejas — each one a small marker that you're still heading the right way. With 98.0 km of paved road under your wheels and 1475 m of climbing, it's a loop that keeps giving. Back in Covarrubias, you'll have earned whatever comes next.
