Roll out of Nogent-l'Artaud and let the route unfold: first along the Marne, then beside the Clignon, before the ramparts of the castle rise into view. Carry on past the Dolloir and the Aqueduc de la Dhuis canal, with 712 m of climbing spread across the day. The full loop runs 76.0 km and every metre of it is paved, so you roll back into the start village on the same surface you left it.
