Flatlands along the Río Órbigo

The ride

Roll out of La Bañeza and let the ride unfold: past the Río Jamuz, then by the Castillo de Villanueva de Jamuz, with its castle keeping watch. On you go over the Río Órbigo, the Río Tuerto and the Río Duerna, each river ticking off another stretch of the 72.3 km loop. The surface stays paved the whole way, and the gentle 194 m of climbing keeps things easy. Then it's back to La Bañeza, where the loop closes.
