The ride

Roll out of Montfranc and the climbing begins: 1545 m of elevation gain over 74.3 km, all on paved roads. You pass the Haut-Languedoc nature reserve, then the castle of Massuguiès, before following the Gijou river onward. Next come the castle of Lacaze and the Dadou river, with the Oulas rounding out the journey. The loop ends back where it started, in Montfranc.
