The ride
From Aesch BL, this 77.6 km loop rolls out past the castle ruins of Frohberg and Alt-Biederthal, then crosses into France by the Château de Hégenheim. The Birsig and then the Rhein keep you company before the Rothallenweiher lake and the Ruine Hilsenstein castle pull you onward. With 1581 m of climbing and a mostly unpaved surface, it's a lively day that ends back where it began.
