The ride

Roll out from Parkeerplaats Monumento Natural Cueva del Gato and the climbing begins: 75.3 km with 1890 m of elevation gain, mostly on paved roads. You pass the nature reserve of the Sierra de Grazalema, cross the Río Guadiaro, and then it's castle after castle — Benadalid's, the Palacio del Marqués de Salvatierra, Casa del Gigante and Casa del Rey Moro. A short unpaved stretch keeps you honest before the loop brings you back to where you started.
