From Vallet you roll out to the La Sèvre Nantaise river, then follow La Margerie on your way to the Château de Clisson. Next comes La Maine, the Villa de la Bastière and the La Vertonne, before the Château de la Vrillière rounds off the loop back to Vallet. It's 84.7 km with 527 m of climbing, almost all on paved surface. Rivers, castles and a gentle return — the order does the storytelling.
