Roll out of Les Bordes and let the ride unfold: first past the nature reserve at L'Île du Château, then by the castle of Varennes. Follow La Noue and the Bras des Chavannes as the rivers thread through the route, with the castle of La Motte standing along the way. With 96.4 km ahead and almost all of it paved, the pedalling stays steady before La Saône sees you back toward Les Bordes.
