Roll out of Ferrières-en-Gâtinais and follow the Loing river out of town, with the watermill at Nançay and the Tour Madeleine castle along the way. The route then picks up the Fusain and passes the castles of Paley and Égreville Massenet before meeting the Betz and the Cléry. Of the 74.3 km, almost all is paved, with a small unpaved share and 380 m of climbing to keep the legs honest. Rivers and castles in turn, then back to where you started.
