Roll out of Mallièvre and follow La Sèvre Nantaise before the castles start coming: Château de Mauléon, then Château de la Flocellière, then Château de Pouzauges. Between them the route crosses Le Grand Lay and Le Petit Lay, and near the end you pass the Donjon d'Ardelay. It's 85.6 km with 848 m of climbing, all of it on paved surface. Then it's back to Mallièvre where you started.
