Roll out of Sablé-sur-Sarthe and the castle comes first, then the L'Erve and La Vaige rivers guide you along. Three castles follow in turn — Noirieux, Bois-Jourdan — before the Vègre picks up the thread past the Manoir de la Perrine de Cry and Les Deux Fonds. With 78.2 km of mostly paved riding and 436 m of climbing, it all loops back to where you started.
