Roll out of Lignières and the castle of the same name comes first, before the route follows the L'Arnon and later the Cher. Along the way you pass Château de Châteauneuf-sur-Cher, the Manoir des Girouettes and Château du Plaix, with La Sinaise flowing by in between. The 79.4 km loop is fully paved, and 517 m of climbing keeps the legs interested before you roll back into Lignières.
