Roll out from Parkeerplaats Vils-Engtal and follow the Vils river as the route opens up. You pass the Donaualtwasser Winzerer Letten nature reserve, then ride into the Naturpark Bayerischer Wald. Two castle ruins, Winzer and Hilgartsberg, break up the 71.9 km before the Vils-Engtal nature reserve brings you back to the start.
